Looking at sample pieces is a good way to get an understanding of what the examiners are looking for.
Read through the samples of high-range responses and annotate them - highlight evidence of having met the criteria.

Year 12 English Expectations
- Check your email daily!
- Check the Year 12 Edmodo page at least weekly.
- Maintain organised files for your notes, handouts and essays. Start organised, and stay organised!
- Complete and submit at least one practice essay each week. This is required of all year 12 students at Avila.
- Read widely! You are expected to have an awareness of current issues and events, as well as deep knowledge of set texts and a braod bank of ideas to draw on for your own writing.
- Ask for help!
